Over the weekend I finished a few possessed I've had lying around for ages. Now I have a basic Slaughtercult formation for my Harvest army.
So here's more red guys... actually I've been painting a lot of red guys lately; daemon prince, berserkers, bloodletters, Roy Harper, possessed and I'm half way though painting a skull cannon... I must be having a red month.
Lets take a closer look
This dude is actually missing a shoulder pad, I decided it can stay missing, possessed are supposed to be disheveled.
I decided this guy is the unit champion, because reasons.
This guy has big face manifesting in his breast plate.
Here's another guy, with mantis arms and a mutated helmet
And finally there's this guy charging with a big blade protruding from his had and a big claw.

Speedy
I haven't done a Batman Miniatures Game post for a while, so this is well overdue. In this installment we have Roy Harper, aka Speedy, for my Green Arrow crew.
First off, he came with a pre-textured base, awesome! no more fannying around with sand for me. I've gone with two shades of red on him to break the miniature up a bit. The armour, bow and quiver are a darker red, and the flexible fabric parts are a brighter red. He also has a blue hat, I know he has a hat in the comics, but I still think it looks stupid.
Did I mention the pre-textured base?
Rules wise he's pretty fast. He's got acrobatic and three MC, which makes him a good objective grabber, he's also got undercover for extended deployment zone shenanigans. However his main strength is is shooting stuff. He's only He has rapid fire and good aim, so anything you shoot at is in trouble. However he only has a low ammo capacity, better get chasing that ammo crates. He's not to great in melee, but does have the charge rule so he can barrel the bad guys out the way.
Also pre-textured base.

The Harvest part1
Remember this guy?
Well he game me an order. "Paint me up some homies!" So I did.
First of all I painted him up some Khorne berserkers. Actually these are repaints, they used to be World Eaters, I have improved them.
I grabbed the first eight berserkers in my case. If I was using berserkers normally I'd have a power fist or power sword in there. Currently as they stand this squad has one chain axe and one plasma pistol.
And some bloodletters.
Again the first eight I grabbed. This cohort has a banner of blood (and it sure looks bloody). and an instrument of chaos.
Why the squads of eight? Well in codex Khorne Daemonkin the minimum squad size for troops units is eight.
Here's the whole gang ready to kill, maim and burn.

Azaroth the Fallen One
I just finished a miniature that I've had for a long time, Azaroth the Fallen One by Heresy Miniatures. I don't think you can get this guy anymore, I know he was made available again for the kickstarter, but I don't know if he'll be made for general release again. I'll be using him as daemon prince in my Khorne daemonkin army, which will be The Harvest by the way. The Harvest has a similar colour scheme to my Maledict Brotherhood, just with the black armour swapped for red, and all my Khornate stuff will be repainted accordingly.
Lets have a look
First of all Azaroth looks metal as fuck. And you can quote me on that. He was a lot of fun to paint, lots of good texture too. There's one part I don't like and that's the wing membranes. They're flat. Some contours or ripples would have been nice, then I could get my drybrush on.
Now to paint him some minions, so he can get out there and start collecting skills for the blood god.

Plasma Obliterator Unboxing
I was in my local Games Workshop the other day and spotted one of these sitting on a shelf, all on it's lonesome. So I grabbed it, you can't get these anywhere, they sold out really fast. I was surprised to see it there and I'm genuinely chuffed to have one.
So what do you get in it?
Bags of stuff. Not sprues, bags.
Now lets build this thing
stage one: the central column and the top platform.
stage two: the central structure. This was a colossal pain in the hole to put together. I couldn't get the floor level. It's going to need a bit of greenstuff.
stage three: more walls added to the middle. since the floor was squint the walls are now squint. This is going to need a lot of green stuff.
Stage four: the gun. This is the coolest part and was the easiest piece to assemble.
stage five: the lid is on.
the finished thing.
Rules wise it's pretty awesome, and quite cheap for it's points. The rules are on the instructions.
The plasma obliterator is an awesome piece of kit, even if it is a pain in the arse to assemble. It'll be getting most of it's use next to my Spacewolves.

Valpurgius
I took a little bit of time out of my chaos space marines to paint something that wasn't 40k related. I decided my Dark Legion for Warzone needed a bit of work so I painted Valpurgius. Valpurgius is my favorite miniature in the dark legion range so I wanted to do him justice. I've gone along a similar theme for him as my characters for my undead legion for warhammer fantasy, which I think he suits. I forgot to tidy the edges of his base before I took the pictures, I'll rectify that later.

OBLITERATE!
Here are the obliterators that I will be using in my upcoming league. These are done in my Maledict Brotherhood scheme and throughout the league will be sporting the Mark of Nurgle. I'll be running them in 3 quads of two, if I had the points I'd run 3 quads of 3, also I only own 8 of them so that'd be hard even if I wanted to. I still need to finish the bases but other than that they're done.
some close ups, well as close as I could get, my camera doesn't like focusing on these guys.
first couple
second couple
he's totally not over compensating
third couple
I got most of my obliterators on ebay, and unfortunately most of the weapon options were missing so I improvised by raiding my bitz box, hence the unusual armaments on some of them.
Some would say that 6 obliterators in a 1500 point list might be a bit overkill, but I say there's no kill like the overkill. Mercy is for the weak!
