Death Guard - Typhus, Herald of Nurgle

I finally got my Typhus, and I've painted him already.  As you may know I hate the plastic Typhus mini that GW brought out.  It looks like he's shooing kids out of his swamp.  I was just going to use my old metal one, that was when Grimskull Studio (distributed by Wargame Exclusive) brought out this bad boy.

He looks a lot more menacing than the GW one.  I believe the actual mini is called the chaos hive bringer.  He comes with optional weapons in the form of a pair of sickles.   The scythe is cooler and more menacing.

Painting Mythic Battle Pantheon part 1

I've started the monumental task of painting Mythic Battle Pantheon. 

I've not done the bases yet.  I'm thinking about doing them cracked earth, but I need the paint to do that.  So I'll come back to these once I've picked some up.  I've gone with a bronze theme on the weapons and armour.  I think it looks cool and very Greek.

Hoplites

There's 5 of these and they're all the same.  So here's just one.

Achilles

Or Un-killes as he's also known.  He's hard as nails. 

Minotaur

Moo!  I've done him a more dirty fashion.  Grubby loin cloth, rusty manacles and verdigris on the brass.

Ares the God of War

He's huge, he's angry and he has a big sword.  Nuff said.  He's also got a red cloak so you can't see the blood.

Death Guard - Mortarion Primarch of the Death Guard

It's taken me a couple of weeks, but I've finally finished him.  Behold the Arch Contaminator.

He's so contagious that the very ground beneath him is becoming diseased.  Now that's hard core.  It's also the reason I haven't added any grass tufts to the base.  Like all good Nurgle miniatures (he's nearly a foot tall, miniature might be the wrong word) he's got a plethora of nurglings.  I've tried to keep him as drab as possible hence the brown moth wings.

Second plagueburst crawler done.  STANK TANK!  This one has green pipes.

Now that's enough procrastinating time to paint Mortarion.

Death Guard - Foul Blightspawn & Lord Sassy

Some more characters for my Death Guard.

First up Lord Sassy

I totally bought this one just for the nurgling.  That nurgling is Lord Sassy, my new chaos lord... and his bodyguard, Lurch.  His job is to babysit my plagueburst crawlers.

Foul Blightspawn

aka Mr Mustard.  He's probably going to make it into almost all my lists.  His gun is just that good.

I'm using this little guy as Mr Mustard's unholy hand grenade token.

Deathguard - Plagueburst Crawler

Say it with me now.  STANK TANK! Except its not a tank... stank self propelled gun?

Anyhoo its a plagueburst crawler.  You just want to see the pictures don't you?  Okay then.

I think I've fixed the blurry issue.  It would have been a lot easier to paint if I hadn't glued the mortar in.

I've got another in the works, as well as a couple more characters.
