My copy of Mars Attacks came this morning. I'm still waiting on the rest of the kickstarter arriving but I got the main game and that's what counts.
The Box
Rulebook, paper gamemat, tokens and wounds chart.
Terrain (separate blog for that), martians (turquoise) U.S marines (tan), heroes (red), bag of d8's and game cards
The paper mat unfolded.
The human heroes.
One pack of martians, you get two sets in the box (so 20 in all), and the come with clear helmets.
U.S marines (10 of these guys).
General Tor the only martian hero in the box.
I'm impressed with the quality of the figures. There's only a little flashing and some slightly bent bits, both of which are easily fixed.
I also got some of my extras.
Both expansion books, Humanity Resists and Extermination. Now if they'd hurry up and send my extra minis so I can use these books I'd be most appreciated.
And another 3 game mats whych I might borrow for batman.
I can't wait to get a few games of this.

One Miss Step could lead to a world of Miss Erry
If you haven't figured it out from the title the the subject of this post is last year's and this year's Wyrd Gencon miniatures.
First up is Miss Step whom I only got around to assembling last week.
I love this model. She looks horrific ad I'm all about the horror. She wasn't to hard to assemble, the hardest part was figuring out where all the wires go. Game wise she counts as Howard Langston.
Miss Erry was absolute joy to assemble. She's going to need a little bit of greenstuff, mainly along the seam where the two halves of the body join. Gamewise she counts as Teddy.

Go Go Samurai Rangers
I finished painting my samurai and as the title suggests they're different colours.
Although I've painted them all differently I decided they needed something to unify them so I painted the cloth the same. If I get any more I think I'm going to do them green, yellow and white.

Body of Evidence
Here's my assembled body of evidence crew. McMourning is going to be my primary master as he's my favorite
The whole gang. The bases are from Fenris Games
Dr Douglas McMourning the guild coroner of Malifaux and secret resurrectionist.
McMourning's nurses
The zombie chihuahua (the hardest mother f****r I've ever had to put together, it's in 4 f*****g pieces) and a canine remains.
Sebastian the mortician's assistant. Check out his bone saw.
A flesh construct.
And the rear view.
I'm using these guys on Wednesday. I haven't played Malifaux in ages, but I'm looking forward to it. I've almost finished painting the samurai. I'm tempted to get another three and go for a power rangers theme.

SAMURAI!!!!!
I've done a quick unboxing of the Malfiaux samurai. I was in too much of a hurry to build them and didn't take any pictures of the sprues.
These guys are kinda fiddly. The gatling guns come in at least 5-7 pieces each and two of the samurai have heads that are in three parts. The bodies were for the most part easy peasy. Speaking of bodies look at the dude crouching down in the middle. He's huge. He's almost as tall as the other two and they're a head above the dark eldar warrior I like to use for scale. If the crouching dude was real he'd be about eight feet tall at least. I think they look awesome. Also they're samurai with gatling guns so they are awesome, and I can't wait to slap some paint on them.

Wyrd sent me my gencon goodies
Got these through the door the other day.
I didn't fancy any of the crews that they had up for their gencon releases so I picked up McMourning and a box of canine remains, can't ever have too many zombie dogs. I also picked up a box of samurai to bolster my Jacob Lynch crew. Also they've got chainguns. They're samurai with chainguns and that's just bad arsed. I also got the Whiskey Golem in anticipation of when the Brewmaster is finally released... if he ever gets released. I also got Miss Erry (Miss Erry... misery... get it) this years Miss miniature.
I have a few of them assembled already. Expect more on them soon. The whiskey golem is staying in sprue for until I get a fancy base for him.

Rorke's Drift Hospital... a tour
I finished my Rorke's Drift hospital last week. I think I've made a better job of it than the store house. I didn't try and prime the thatch this time and it looks a lot better.
Oddly the roof doesn't fit properly with the upper floor inserted.
Again there's bits in the walls that can be popped out to create firing ports and extra entry ways like what they did in the film.
The hospital like the store house is a great kit. I'll be using both next week in a game of Malifaux.

Deadshot
Just finished my Deadshot mini. I was going to enter him into Games Without Borders' painting competition but I don't think he's good enough to win. Don't get me wrong I like what I've done with him I just think he's too dark and muted to win. I'm probably going to enter my Harley or Titan Clown instead. Anyhoo here he is and hopefully he'll be gracing the gaming table sometime soon.

Rorke's Drift Storehouse... a tour
I finished my Rorke's Drift store house a few weeks back and thought I'd show it off.
One slightly disappointing point about this building is that the internal wall that the roof is attached to doesn't line up properly with the outside one.
The are parts of the walls that can be popped out to create firing holes and access points if you so desire.
Its a pretty impressive kit and I've learned a few things for painting the hospital. Mainly don't prime the bloody thatch. The hospital is coming along nicely and should be finished in the next day or two. I've also done a few of the drystone walls.

The Great Summoning Ritual Begins
I recently purchased the new Nagash model and now I've got the undead bug again. I get the undead bug every few years where I add things to my Vampire Counts army. But now I have the the opportunity to build an undead army like they were back in fourth edition when I started playing.
Nagash was one of my favorite characters back in the day. My ten year old brain thought the mini looked awesome and I loved his background. Too long has he been missing from the game but now he can finally take to the field with a stunning new model.
I've added a dark eldar warrior for scale here. Look at the size of him. I'm not going to lie he was a bit tedious to assemble, but not the worse thing I've had to build. He's going to need a little green stuff to smooth the joins in his ghosts and cloak. I'm also thinking about adding some skeletons rising from the grave on the more empty areas of his base.
