Ratkin Warlocks for Kings of War

I'm mentally psyching myself up paint another horde of spear armed Ratkin warriors.  So in the interim I've painted up a trio of Ratkin warlocks, because magicy lightning destruction.

Warlock 1

He was probably the hardest to paint of the three.  He's just too busy.  Got there in the end though.


Warlock 2

A really old grey seer.  Really nice to paint.  Some of the really old miniatures from GW are so nice to paint.


Warlock 3

A plastic warlock engineer from the Island of Blood set.  Blissfully simple to paint.

These will be used in my Ratkin army, maybe not all at the same time.  But I can also use them in Warhammer Quest.  

Kings of War - Ratkin Brutes

I've repurposed some more of my Skaven into Ratkin for my Kings of War army.  I've got a big box of Skaven waiting to become a functional army again.  I've literally lost any interest in Age of Sigmar (but not Warcry, Warcy is fucking awesome) and Kings of War is the only game that allows me to use them they way they should be used.  I've had these three rat ogres sitting on my desk for months begging for a repaint.  They have now been repainted and rebased, they are now Ratkin brutes.

The Horde

I've been converting a bunch of Skaven Clanrats over to Kings of War.  Most of these are repaints.  I've painted water effects into the textureless parts of the base to emphasise a blasted wasteland look.  A dank wasteland needs puddles damn it.  I've tried to arrange them to look like they're surging forward on command.  F.Y.I. Rats surge forward in a living tide, they don't charge.

Kings of War Dwarfs #2

It's taken me a while, and the heat certainly hasn't helped, but I've  finished two more regiments of dwarfs.

First up is a Clan Ironbeard shieldbreaker regiment.  In the form of miners.

Next up I've got a regiment of Clan Goldforge Ironclad.

I've got a few projects on the go at the moment.  I've got some more Mythic Battles stuff and a few dwarf characters on the painting block at the moment.  I've also got a terrain project on the go.
