Kings of War Slow Grow 3

I hope you're all safe and well.  This is what I managed to get painted for March.

This month I managed to do a regiment of revenant caalry, a goreblight and a necromancer.

I have to say with mantic's revenant cavalry miniatures the horses are so much better than the riders.  I find this a bit odd, but hey it is what it is.

The necromancer is one of the plastic battle wizards from GW's old Empire kit.  I've tried to keep him dark without resorting to black.
My goreblight comes from Hasslefree Miniatures (I'm not a fan of the Mantic goreblight).  Yes it is a naked chick riding an undead troll, but it looks cool, and the rule of cool wins out.

So here's the army as a whole.  Now at a mighty 1335 points.

I'm thinking of doing more revenant cavalry for April.

And here's some wholesomeness to see you through the dark.

Kings of War Slow Grow 2

First a little PSA.  This is a trying time for everyone right now.  We'll be feeling the effects of this pandemic for a while to come.  So to anyone reading this stay safe, stay strong and don't be the dick head who panic buys all the food at the supermarket (seriously if this is you, then you are a cunt).  Well that's the grim shit out the way and now on to the minis.

So here is what I finished in February.  I know it's a bit late in me getting this up, I really need to get back into the habbit of blogging.

First up I have a horde of zombies.  I've made them swarming out of the cemetery gates.  I've gone with a real mix of colours on the clothes.  I didn't want to make them uniform, realistically they'd be peasants, and from a variety of military units.

Next up is a regiment of revenants.  This unit is a significantly lighter unit than my other revenant unit (these are plastic).  I've decided they would be more regimented, hence why they are more uniform.  I wanted to show that these were elite, well elite for undead.

Next is a troop of wraiths.  Unlike the rest of the army I had to glue these to the base before I flocked them.  They wouldn't look right otherwise.  I bought the first issue of that Age of Sigmar partworks just to get these guys on the cheap, the Stormcast dudes got turned into stone golems for D&D, because I have no intention to play Age of Sigmar.

I missed these guys out of the group shot because I'm an idiot.  This is a regiment of skeleton spearmen.  I've gone for a mix of colours again.  I like to think they were risen from a mass grave from an ancient battlefield.  Besides who says undead armies don't have to be dark.

The army as it currently stands.  For March I'm doing some hammers.  I've got a regiment of revenant cavalry, a goreblight and a necromancer in the works.

The Walking Dead Prison Boosters

I've finished more of my Walking Dead minis, I've actually only got four left in my collection to do.  These are from some of the boosters that go along with the prison range.

Oddly they've all come out a bit shiny.  I'll go back and hit them with some mat varnish later.

Susie and Rachel Greene
Another dual model.  In game these are considered to be one miniature.  They're basically fodder because they really aren't that good, but nice and cheap.

Glenn Prison Guard
A more fighty version of Glenn.

Dale Prison Advisor

Angry one legged Dale.  He's bulked up compaired to his original miniature.  This is a show exclusive miniature, he's only available at shows or online in the Mantic store on their open days.

Maggie Prison Defender
She's cut her hair and is armed with a rifle.  I quite like this miniature.

Walking Dead Campaign #2

So here we are again, the gang are back ready to find more loots.  For those the missed the first episode, this is my own solo campaign following Necrothrall and a bunch of survivors trying to survive the  zombie apocalypse.

At the end of the last episode the gang escaped almost empty handed.  So this game might be a bit difficult.

So  here we are on the highway.  There's plenty of loot markers and few random equipment markers kicking around.  The majority of which are next to the taco truck, which is surrounded by walkers.

Gloria tosses her grenade near the taco truck.  It knocks a bunch of walkers down and unfortunately most of them get back up.  The noise from the explosion draws a few of the walkers in the middle away.

The gang creeps up and Necrothrall finds a molatov.
Fifi exploits a gap in the walkers and finds a gun.
Necrothrall and Clementine get fired amongst the walkers and push them back.
Fifi hands the gun to Gloria, who sneaks round the side.  Necrothrall and Clementine continue to push the walkers back and force their way up.
Necrothrall and Clementine gang up on the walker hovering around the loot and shunt it out the way.  Gloria sneaks round the back and finds some gory clothing.  Fifi starts panicking at this point.
Clementine finds some emergency rations that heals everyone nearby.  Gloria caps the troublesome walker in the head...
And draws the horde in.
Necrothrall takes advantage of this and finds a machete.  Oh yeah!
The gang sneaks past the walkers.  Except Fifi who runs off the board due to an event card.
An event causes Necrothrall to cause mayhem, probably shouting after Fifi.  This draws the taco truck mob in.
Decide that discretion is the better part of valour everyone legs it after Fifi.
Gloria is looking a bit more dangerous now.
As is Necrothrall.

So game 2 went a lot better than game 1.  I didn't find any survivors, but the gang actual stand a chance of killing something now.  Lets see what happens next.
