I recently received a third Mortarch for my birthday, and since I already had the other two this one had to be Mannfred.
After building two other Mortarchs I managed to put Mannfred together quite quickly. I even managed to get his dread abyssal to stand more upright.
The ghosts are snaking their way through the tombstones.
I think Mannfred looks cool but I don't like his sword. It just looks like a really lazy sculpt. I think the older versions of him had a better looking blade.

It might take me a few weeks to get this bugger painted as I've got a chaos space marine army to finish for an upcoming league at my club. Aside from that I have more martians on my desk in the paintingg que too.

There are some who call him Chubbser
My friend gave asked me to paint one of his sorcerers a few months ago and its been sitting in a tub of fairy power pray most of that time. I may have forgotten he was in there. My only instruction was he should be a follower of Nurgle.
Here he his. His name is Chubbser and he's be a thorn in my side for many a year.

Malifaux (in)Justice no6
That bastard Mattheson joins troops on the streets of Malifaux.
Now that Lucius is a duel faction master (guild and neverborn) the sculptors at Wyrd have subtly hinted at his neverborn roots in his figure. Look at his legs, they're not human, they curve in all the wrong places. They look like they should belong to a goat. Maybe he's hiding cloven hooves in his shoes. He is every bit the devil in disguise. I also love they way he's nonchalantly looking at his pocket watch, its very fitting with his character.
Here's the whole gang thus far. I plan to expand them at some point with some guild riflemen and maybe a few more mimics. Now I need to get them on the table top.

Malifaux (in)Justice no5
It's time for some police brutality in the form of Captain Dashel. Well at least he looks brutal, his in game damage output is pretty low.
I think he looks a bit like Dian Wei from Dynasty Warriors. I decided to paint his doublet black to match the coats of the guild guard. I was going to paint it red, the guild colour, but I decided against it because he'd look like the pub landlord.
I also painted the Scribe, who is Lucius's butler. He doesn't look like a scribe, but he does carry a spare mask for Lucius.
Lucius is now on the painting block, which means I'm close to finishing the crew.

Malifaux (in)Justice no4
I've finished another member of my Bound by Law crew, and it's another shitebag lawyer. This one I call "Better Call Saul"
He was a fiddly one to assemble. Especially his cane. I clipped it out fine with no incidents. But when I picked it up to attach it snapped and the end with his fingers attached hit the floor. It took me 40ish minutes to find. I also forgot to greenstuff a small gap in his hand, which I hope isn't to noticeable.
Now who do I paint next? Captain Dashel Or the Scribe?

Drunken Bayou Dojo no1
All aboard the party bus!
I mean golem. Having seen the renders for the Brewmaster and the moon shinobi I thought I'd get my nightmare whiskey golem painted up. He certainly was a lot of fun. There's a few white bits on his base in the photos. The water effects wasn't quite dry when I took them, it'll turn clear eventually.
I love the eyes peeking out of hole in it's chest.
Sleeping in the back.
This little sod drilled a hole between his legs and is drinking the spoils.
Sploosh
Wheeeee!
Base with the flash off to see the reflection.

Bolt Action World of Tanks Edition
I've come up with a new alternative way to play Bolt Action. Those of you who like historical accuracy will probably not like this. On the other had those of you who like World of Tanks will probably love this.
What you will need.
Firstly set up the gaming table. A big one preferably. Plenty on hedges, trees farm houses etc.
Next everyone places all of their death machines on a table. Someone writes all of the vehicles down on slips of paper, folds them up and puts them in a bag and gives it a good mix. There should be one slip for each vehicle.
Now pick teams, and assign a colour to each, eg red and white. These should be even of equal numbers.
Now each team dices off. The winning team get first pick from the tank bag. The teams alternate between each other until each player has a tank, i.e. team 1 picks a tank, then team 2, then team 1 again and so on.
Once every one has a vehicle deploy them on the board, the team that went second in the tank selection gets to choose table sides.
Now put all the coloured dice in the bag. These determine which team gets to activate a unit. From here on out treat it like a normal game of Bolt Action, with the objective of wiping out the enemy team.
What you will need.
- all the tanks, tank destroyers and self propelled artillery your gaming group possess
- your gaming group preferably an even number
- the bolt action rules
- enough bolt action dice for both teams
- a bag
- some paper
- two sets of coloured dice, eg a red team and a white team.
- the usual dice tape measures etc

Malifaux (in)Justice no3
She does look familiar. I believe she said her name was Jane Doe.
She looks almost normal from the front.
But from the back it looks like a murder scene. She's a doppleganger. And she's wearing someone else's skin. These Neverborn are nasty. But why is she in an issue of Malifaux (in)Justice? Well that's because Lucius can take an upgrade that allows him to hire mimics regardless of faction (also Lucius can be taken as a Neverborn master).

Operation End Times no19 Nagash, Supreme Lord of the Undead
After about twenty hours of painting I've finished big daddy death himself.
I have to say that as amazing as Nagash looks he's a bitch to paint. All the ghosts make him really springy, which is a real pain. However I battled on and I'm quite pleased with the results.
