Joker Arkham Asylum version

Well I couldn't not paint another Joker.  This one painted up the nicest out of all of them.

He's actually my favorite Joker miniature thus far.  I might have to stop using the Arkham City version in favor of this one.

Here he is with his boys.

Joker's Clowns 2nd edition set

Well I didn't waste any time on these.  These are the new second edition resins.  They take paint really well, but the mould lines are are harder to scrape off, not physically harder, just less cleanly.  Anhoo time for pictures.

Hobo Clown

Gone pink and green with this guy.  Both strong Joker colours.

White Face

I've gone for a techno goth look for him.

Bouffon

I tried to make this guy as bright a possible.  And contrasted the brightness with a dark nail gun.

I've got Mistah J and Deadshot on the painting block.  So expect them soonish.

Painting my Mythic Battles Pantheon part 4

I've finished the core box... except for the bases, I'll get to them at some point.  Irritatingly, these were all the miniatures in the box that had the hardest to remove mould lines.

Let's start with the amazon

Centaur

Atalanta

Odysseus

Athena

So how do I feel now I've painted the core box? Honestly it feels good.  It was a challenge, it was something different, and I actually want to paint more of my Mythic Battles stuff.  I might pick at bits from the Pandora's box while I work on other projects.  Right now I've got four half painted Batman miniatures on my desk that need finished.  After that I'm thinking about trying to finish the farm expansion for the Walking Dead.

If you want to get into Mythic Battles Pantheon and missed the kickstarter, I believe Monolith Edition are doing a rerun of the game in June.  So keep your eyes peeled.

Painting Mythic Battle Pantheon part 3

Well I made the most of my Easter Monday off, I managed to finish my next lot (minus the bases).

This time it's a bunch of nasty stuff straight out of the Underworld.

Hell Hound

I wasn't a fan of painting these, luckily they didn't take long.

Hell Warrior

Not bad to paint, but the head gear was a pain in the arse.  I've tried to make both the warriors and the hounds look dead and very dilapidated.

Cerberus

Here's Hades' dog Spot, or Cerberus as he's also known.  I basically drybushed him with various browns and picked out the details.

Hydra

I missed a mould line on one of it's heads... grr.  I mostly drybrushed this beasty too.  With both Cerberus and hydra I would have preferred it if they were detachable from their bases.  It's going to be a bitch to paint underneath them.

Hades

There was a mould line on his left hand that I couldn't get rid of, which was annoy to say the least.  I've gone for a light and dark contrast with Hades.  He's the King of the Underworld, so I wanted him to be dark, but I didn't want him too dark.  So I painted his skin really pale.  My camera didn't pick out the highlights on his robes that well, but they're there, you'll just have to trust me on that.

My next installment of Mythic Battles will be the last of the core box.
