I've finished a couple more RPG characters. The first is a dragonborn paladin for a friend, the other is a drow fighter. Both are from Reaper Miniatures.
Dragonborn
What a brute this guy is. He's huge. But that's ok, because the character he's representing in my D&D campaign has a strength value of 20. He wanted a blue dragonborn so he got one.
Drow
I really like her spiderweb armour. Quite fitting as drow worship Lolth, the spider goddess. Perhaps she's an elite guard. I'm probably going to use her as a villain, or a mook in service to a villain.

Cleric
I've been working a lot on a Dungeons and Dragons campaign recently, so I thought I'd paint a few of my RPG miniatures (aside from the dungeon saga ones). I just finished a human cleric, and I have to say he's one of my favorite miniatures.
I just absolutely love his pose. He's holding his weapon in a relaxed fashion while he channels a divine spell through his holy symbol. Most importantly he looks like a cleric. Most cleric miniatures don't look very holy.
Up next on the paining block; a drow fighter, a dwarf assassin, and a more Romans.

For The Glory of Rome 2
My second batch of Romans is now finished. These took considerably longer to do. Especially the transfers, not only were they a funny shape (they were round) but the pigment was misaligned so i had to go in with some paint to fix them.
This time the Romans come in the form of Auxiliaries. I plan to use them as spearmen in my Kingdoms of Men army in Kings of War.

Dungeon Saga: The Critters
The last of the Dungeon Saga resins comes in the form of assorted dungeon critters. We have spiders, rats and bats. These were quite fragile and had a few bubbles, so some repair work was required. I'm pretty sure that these were Kickstarter exclusives, so they might not be available in the future.
Spiders
Bats
Rats
And with this lot complete my Dungeon Saga is over... for now.

Dungeon Saga kickstarter exclusive: Keldan
Apologies for the lack of updates lately I've been painting Roman auxiliaries, they're almost finished. I decided to take a break from them and try and finish my Dungeon Saga stuff. So the first of the resins is complete, Keldan the elf. He's a kickstarter exclusive, however Mantic kickstarter exclusives very rarely stay exclusive, so you may be able to lay your hands on one, but then again you might not.
I've painted him up like a Drow. I figured he'd make a fine Drow assassin in my D&D campaign. The downside to this guy is his swords. They're really fragile, and they have minuscule points of contact, which resulted in frustrating repair job.

Dungeon Saga: Kickstarter Exclusives
The mountain of Dungeon Saga plastic is dead. Just the resins to go. So here's the last of the plastics in the form of the kickstarter exclusives.
Logan the halfling fighter/paladin
I think the sculpt on this one is based on Tyrion Lannister from Game of Thrones.
Hordin and Gnasher
A dwarf barkeep and his dog. i think this guy is awesome.
Blaine
Mantic Games' signature alien bounty hunter. This time fantasy-ified.

Dungeon Saga: The Return of Valandor
The return of Valandor expansion is a continuation of the campaign from the main Dungeon saga box. The necromancer from the original has escaped and is trying to raise the demon lord Ba'el from the dead. The spirit of Valandor, the mage king, returns and possesses one of the heroes in each mission of the campaign.
I've already painted the undead from this set when I did the others last year. As a result I only had to do Ba'el and Valandor. And here they are.
Let's look at Ba'el first.
I really hate the wings on this miniature. They just look wrong. There's no joints in them. There should at least be an elbow in them. I played a bit with rust and blood effects on this guy. I missed a mould line on his face, so I ran a bit of blood effect along it to make it look like a flap of skin.
Valandor
This guy looks awesome. Firstly he's huge, nearly half as tall again as a regular human. Secondly look at that spear. I decided as a saintly mage king he needed shiny armour. With shiny armour in my mind comes blue and white, so that happened too.
