Dungeon Saga: The Tyrant of Halpi - The Heroes

Another expansion done.  Truth be told most of this expansion was the dragon, however there are a couple of new heroes.  This time in the form of Ibrahim, the human paladin, and Ally McSween, the halfling thief.

Let's look at the paladin first.

I decided to paint him in his native colours of Basiliea... actually most paladins I paint seem to be wearing blue, white and gold.  I think it gives him a very striking look.

Next the halfling

I've decided to paint her in a selection of browns.  No self respecting thief would wear black, it sticks out like a sore thumb in the shadows.

I've almost finished painting all my dungeon saga stuff.  I've just got a handful of abyssals, some heroes and a few critters to do and I'm done.

Dungeon Saga: Karrathor "The Unbroken", The Tyrant of Halpi

Time to move on to the next expansion for Dungeon Saga, The Tyrant of Halpi.  So who likes dragons?  Not the heroes anyway, Karrathor is a beast.  This guy is huge.  He comes in 3 pieces, the main body, and both wings.  Rather annoyingly, his base comes attached, which makes it a real pain to do his undercarriage and the base work.  It's about time we took a look.

Dungeon Saga: The Warlord of Galahir Heroes

The Warlord of Galahir expansion is now finished. This time we have the heroes Kapoka the gladewalker druid and Hrrath the salamander fighter.  I personally think these guys are cool.

Lets look at the gladewalker first.

As you can see this dude is a tree.  And he has a spear... and antlers.  Actually I think he's one of the finest sculpts Mantic have ever made.

Now the salamander.

The sculpt isn't as good, the head lets him down a bit.  However his armour plates look cool.  He also looks kinda brutal.

Dungeon Saga: Thrundak Skullsplitter

Its time for the Warlord of Galahir himself, Thrundak Skullsplitter.  A big nasty orc barbarian that looks infinitely cooler than those stupid orclings.

That just leaves the heroes from this expansion, which I should hopefully finish tomorrow.

Dungeon Saga: Orclings

First off these little fuckers were not fun to paint, hence why I haven't really bothered my arse with them.  Secondly I've only got three miniatures from the the Warlod of Galahir expansion left to do.

Right now onto these dick heads

Totally not as cool as the trolls.  In fact don't look at these, go look at the trolls again.

Dungeon Saga: Trolls

I'm still plowing my way through the Warlord of Galahir expansion.  This time it's the trolls.  These dudes are wearing lots of armour, and it strikes me that trolls don't take care of their armour.  So it needed to  be rusty.  So I played around with some of Games Workshop's technical paints.  The effect takes some time but the result looks awesome.

Some close ups

Dungeon Saga: Goblin Archers and Orc Skulks

The latest batch of green skins are done.  And this time they bring the ranged weapons to the party.  Archery is a very noble profession for a goblin, but a cowardly and contemptible one for an orc.
