Kings of War - Dwarfs

I'm going to say it now I don't like the Mantic Dwarfs.  So I'm doing a GW army.  I acquired a bunch of dwarfs from my brother, so I'm painting them up and turning them into a fighting force.  I'm doing them as an alliance of dwarf clans from the one mountain, hence the different colours.

Ironwatch Rifles

These are from the Ironbeard clan.  They've got the technology.  They're color is blue.  I went quick and dirty with them, they're only line troopers after all.

King on Large Beast

This isn't a GW model, it's from Atlantis Miniatures.  I love that bear so much.  He's from the Oakenhearth Clan.  They are rangers and woodsmen.

So that's how I spent my Saturday to avoid the royal wedding.  How did you spend yours?

Painting Mythic Battles Pantheon part 6

This time there is no gods.  Only a couple of monsters and a few heroes.

Myrmidons

The Myrmidons were the infamous troops of Achilles, so I've painted them in the same colours.  I didn't like the exposed midriffs so I painted them up like armour.

Aegisthus
I had to google who this guy was.  According to wikipedia this dude was banging Agememnon's wife while he was besieging  Troy.  And shanked him when he returned.  He looked like a grubby assassin, so I painted him as such.  There was a mould line I couldn't get off of his face, so I painted it like a loose strand of hair.

Circe
I actually thought this was Medea at first.  The two look really similar.

Echo
She scream.

Python
Monolith Edition really love their big snakes.  Three in mythic battles and one in Conan.  But then again big snakes are cool, especially when they're as detailed as this one.

Nemean Lion
This turned out to be one of my favorites so far once I'd painted it up, even if it does look a bit derpy from the front.  I decided to do it as an albino.  I think it works.

Painting Mythic Battles Pantheon part 5

I've still got to get that damn basing paint, but here's my next batch of mythic battles stuff.

Nopes

Hector
I've done Hector's cloak yellow to signify that he's a Trojan.  I wanted to distinguish him from my hoplites and Spartans.

Cercrops

Bad ass snake dude.

Colchidian Dragon
It's a big snek.

Persephone
I wanted to capture a cold regalness to her.  I think I succeeded.

Post Apocalyptic Scooby Gang

I bought these from Hasslefree Miniatures a few years ago, I've just finally got  around to painting them.

Velma

Shaggy
He's had two coats of matt varnish and is still shiny.  WTF?

Fred

Daphne

I actually don't have their Scooby-doo.  I plan to use these guys in the Walking Dead, using the character creation rules.  I'm also eyeing up hasslefree's versions of Sam and Dean from supernatural.  Speaking of which I need to see that cross over episode.

The Fresh Prince of Belle Reve

I finished the will Smith version of Deadshot the other day.  Apologies for the dark pictures, my lighting isn't greet.

He's pretty 2-dimensional.

Gamewise he's an excellent area denial piece.  He has 3 guns, with a grand total of 4 ammo, which means he will be shooting something for most of the game.  He's got various abilities that make him better at shooting, however he has a unique ability that is terrifying.  Bullet Time.  This is a one use ability that allows him to shoot twice in one round with different weapons.  He still has to pay the AC to do the attacks and the ammunition, but that's a small price to pay for the versatility.  If you shoot a tough enemy and fail to kill him, shoot him again.  Alternatively you stand a decent chance of incapacitating a couple of henchmen.  The downside to him he's a bit pricey.
