LARP craft - floral crowns

So I've been doing a different bit of hobby today, LARP stuff.  For those that don't know I play in a LARP called Empire.  I play in a nation called Dawn as an Earl.  One thing Dawn is know for, other than our collective obsession with glory, is flowers.  Every noble house in Dawn has it's own flower code, which can lead to some hilarity, and Dawnish folk will often wear flowers, often on their head.  Hence why I've been making floral crowns.  I'm also having a medieval themed wedding later in the year, and a few people have expressed an interest in floral headwear.

This one ended up being too small for an adult, but could fit a child nicely.

This one is for my Mum.  She wanted green and yellow.
This one is for a friend of mine.

And this one is my battle crown.  I plan to wear it over a maille coif.  I'll post pictures of my full battle kit in the future.  I went for a less leafy vine wrap for my battle crown because I didn't want it flapping about over my eyes.  Colour choice was dictated by my house colours, dark blue and white, which in House de Loup's flower language mean loyalty and death respectively.

Painting Mythic battles Pantheon 21 - Manticore

That's my second last expansion done, Just Oedipus and the Sphinx to go.  Anyway here's the big beastie.

I've tried to go with an earthy bestial look.  I've also reversed the colours from the way I'd normally put them down, which I think makes it look more evil.  I've also gone with a neutral green, shined up with a gloss varnish for the venom droplets.

Painting Mythic Battles Pantheon 20 Judges of the Underworld

That's another expansion down, just two to go.

Rhadamanthus

I decided to go with a dark forgotten look for him.  In the artwork he looks like he's on fire.  I wanted to make him look tortured.  I used some blood effect in the gaps in his flesh to represent this.  As a final touch I hit him up with a lot of verdigris to make him look truly forgotten.

Minos
His head is on FIE-YAAAAR!  The only monster in the set.  I wanted to make the fire the focal point of Minos so I deliberately kept the rest of him dark.  This is my first try at original source lighting.  I think it turned out not bad.

Aeacus
He's the brightest in the artwork and I wanted to reflect this.  I kept the bronze bright and made him very pale, he lives the underworld so it stands to reason that he doesn't get much sun.  On a side note I think he'd make a great undead villain for D&D.

Now which expansion to paint next? Oedipus and the Sphinx or the manticore?
