Nurgle Daemon Prince
I've spent the past few nights beavering away at my Spellcrow plague prince. And now he's finished and ready to lead my troops into battle.
He was quite fun to paint. He's got a lot of varied textures and was the perfect candidate to use GW's "Blood for the Blood God" blood effect paint. I've done him in my Maledict Brotherhood, black and bone colour scheme.

Spellcrow Plague Prince Unboxing
I recently decided that I would use a Nurgle daemon prince to lead my forces in an upcoming league at my club. I scoured the interweb for a decent candidate that could fly. I stumbled upon this guy from Spellcrow, and the sell an upgrade that will allow him to fly.
Lets look at some stuff.
Humongous jump pack.
They sent me this add on pack for free (its worth nearly £5). It also saves me having to convert a black mace for him too. Spellcrow are awesome.
He went together pretty easily, with not too many mould lines. There were a few small vent, but they were pretty easy to remove.
Scale shot. He's big but not massive.
The left over bits. These are actually the original head and weapon that comes with the kit.
Now to get him painted.

Nurgle Sorcerer a commission piece
Just finished the final figure for mu friend, a chaos sorcerer of Nurgle.
He was an easy one. I went with brown dry-brushed with brown with a hint of brown on the side. to me Nurgle looks better in brown rather than the green you usually see. I put a little green on the slime on his staff which I might add a little water effect to once I've varnished him.

Nurgle Lord Commission Piece
I've been asked by a friend to paint a few of his chaos characters. So I started with the Nurgle Lord. he was a lot of fun to paint. I love painting Nurgle stuff. Most of my Chaos Space Marines and daemons for 40k are Nurgle. Anyhoo here he is
I painted the large ulcer in his belly to look like an eye. Combined with the gaping hole in his gut it looks a bit like a cyclopian face. Actually it looks like its trying to gum his axe. I normally shade my Nurgle flesh brown to make it look really dirty, this time I thought I'd try something different and went with purple. I think the effect works well, he looks bruised. I went with green armour for contrast. I don't normally like green on Nurgle, but here it works.
And he is from the back.
This week's end time goal is complete. The finished pictures will go up on Thursday.
