Still clowning around

Just finished the last of my Joker starter set, Contra August
I went with a metal bat on him rather than a wooden one, mainly because his baseball bat snapped while I was cleaning the mould lines off.  And has since snapped off several times.  So it looks a little bent.

Another looney has escaped Arkham

I took a break from painting my redcoats to paint this guy, and thought it warranted an update.
The Ringmaster for my Joker crew.  I've one more starter set goon to go, then its onto my titan thug.

The Clown Prince of Crime

Just a quick update to show off my Joker. I really like they way his suit turned out.

I played my first game of Dreadball last week and thoroughly enjoyed it.  Which is good because I backed the Dreadball Xtreme kickstater with a few of my friends.  Also speaking of kickstarter my Mutant Chronicles Warzone resurrection stuff came last week.  I'll be doing a review on it in the next few days, and I'll be playing a game of it on Wednesday.  And Finally I have another 24 Anglo-Zulu war redcoats on my desk that are about half done.

I am the night

I've done a little bit of painting today.  Mainly Batman and one of the Joker's goons.  I also finished off a few Medusae that I started last week for warhammer quest.

I've also been working on a Necromunda conversion game that I call Horde Mode.  Where a group of survivors must hold out against waves of zombies.  Expect more on this soon.

Operation Zulu begins

I've finished my first twenty Anglo-Zulu war red coats.  These figures are from warlord games.  And I've based them on chopped up bits of games workshop modular movement tray (most useful gw product ever).  I've based them in groups of four, two standing and two kneeling.  I haven't taken as time on these as I normally would because there's loads of them, and they still need based.  I've got about forty more red coats to do, as well as small wad of natal native contingent, a smattering of officers and a gatling gun.  Then its onto the zulu's.

here they are

Lord Skrolk

Just a quick update with some more Warhammer Quest stuff.

Lord Skrolk.  I'm quite chuffed with the dirty look I've managed to pull off here.
A few more goblins.

And an ashigaru from Bushido.  I bought a starter set a while back because I thought they look cool.  I'll find some use for her, I might make up my own rule set for her.

I've decided to set myself a challenge.  I'm going to try and paint all my Anglo-Zulu war stuff before the end of the year.  This includes Rourke's Drift itself.  Could be quite hard going, there's a lot of Zulu's.  Wish me luck.

Commission Complete

Well after a week and a bit of furiously painting genestealers for my friend I'm finished.
All twenty two of them and a broodlord.  Some close ups

Even closer close ups

this one confuses me its almost as if the sculptor forgot one of his arms

he's got the shoulder joint but no arm... and there's two of them in the box.

and the boss beastie the broodlord

Now he also wanted me to turn this chaos lord into an iron warrior
Now its an nice conversion, but was unfortunately was super glued together.  Everything I've tried to strip that's been super glued together has fallen to bits.  So I had to try and paint over the top of it.  There is a few bits poking through but its not that noticeable with the naked eye.

I think he turned out alright.

I've got a couple games of batman lined up at the club tomorrow.  I might take some pictures.  I'm going to start painting my Joker crew up this week, expect pictures.

Well that's it from me.  Until next time happy wargaming.
