I've been doing these between projects. I like painting fantasy stuff, whit can I say. All three are from Reaper's Bones line. They're cheap that's why I have so many.
Fire Giant
I forgot to paint his teeth. Aside from that I painted him like a huge grey skinned dwarf. I've tried to keep him similar to the description in the monster manual.
Half Orc Rogue
I really need a light box. I'm really going through a dark phase. I've tried to keep his colours neutral. I quite like the fact that he isn't a barbarian. Not all orcs need to be barbarians damn it. They can be anything they set their minds to.
Bullete
Giant metalic land shark woo! Well it is. Yeah he's ugly, but I think he's cool.

Owlman
Next up in my Batman rogues gallery is Thomas Wayne Jr, aka Owlman. That's right I've effectively got an evil Batman.
This isn't a lighting issue this time he really is that dark. I've done his suit in a dark grey. Everything else is black, highlighted in dark grey. I wanted him to be dark. He is the night... the evil night.
I've not used him yet but looking at his rules I can give you some idea of what to expect. Statwise and ruleswise he is an evil Batman. He hits hard, has sneak attack and all the mobility options of your better batmen. He does have a few tweeks however. He pisses out blood damage instead of stun, with his claws and razorlings, not to mention his gun. He isn't Batman, he kills people. He also has a nasty trick up his sleeve. He isn't deployed at the start of the game. He teleports onto the field at the start of the raise a plan phase of the second turn. By on the field, I mean anywhere on the table. This makes him a great character assassin. Although if I decided to deploy him in melee with someone I'd feel obliged to shout "surprise cock face!" in full Team America fashion.

Deathstroke Arkham Origins Version
My first Batman miniature of the year happens to be one of the most bad ass characters in the game, the Arkham Origins version of Deathstroke.
Apologies for the shitty lighting. I've gone with the traditional black and orange for him. I've deliberately kept him dark, he is a top notch assassin after all.
In game if you end up in melee with him your a goner unless you're someone like Batman. He has combo with his bo-staff which means if you fully loaded his attack slot with counters can unleash a barrage of seven (yes seven) attacks. He will K.O you. He also has a katana and a gun if he wants to dish out some lethal damage. Also once per game he can regenerate some damage. He's expensive points wise, which is his only draw back. He's a free agent so he can be hired by any faction with the exception of the Brave and The Bold. He's also a sidekick for the Militia. So if you want he can lead a crew if Scarecrow and the Arkham Knight aren't present.

Hobby Resolutions for 2018
I got a nice hobby haul for Christmas. I got some reinforcements for my Death Guard and some more Batman minis. I also got a set of resin dungeon tiles that are not pictured here, but expect to see them soon.
So what about my hobby resolutions for this year? If split them into 3 parts; painting, gaming and hobby. I've done this for easiness sake. My aim is to use these goals as a check list, and I've tried to keep it manageable, so that I can actually stick to them. Enough waffle let's get onto the first category; painting.
Painting Resolutions for 2018.
1. To paint my core set of Mythic Battles Pantheon. I got Mythic Battles Pantheon a couple of days ago (expect an unboxing) and I really want to paint it. I also really want to play it.
2. To paint my Return to Hoth expansion for Imperial Assault. I've had it for a year, it needs paint.
3. To paint my Death Guard. In addition to those pictured above I boughs 3 myphitic blight haulers, another plagueburst crawler and a foul blightspawn. I also want to bring my old plague marines up to the same level.
4. To finish painting my Walking Dead Stuff. Shouldn't be too bad.
5. To paint a minimum of 10 Batman minis. I've got too many unpainted, I need to rectify that.
6. To paint 2 units of Romans for my kingdoms of Men army. I want to get them finished.
Gaming Resolutions for 2018.
1. To play more games. In all seriousness my anxiety has been really bad this past year and I've played very few games in 2017. So I need to try and go to my local gaming club and FLGS more and play something.
2. Play more Warhammer 40,000. Since the 8th edition of 40k dropped I've not played a single game. I need to fix that. My Death Guard need to hit the table again.
3. To get my Skype D&D game up and running. I'm hoping to start this at the end of February. Don't expect videos, but I might do a recap of each session, we'll see.
4. To go to Empire. I've wanted to take up LARP (that's live action role play for the uninitiated) and Empire by Profound Decisions has really caught my eye. Empire runs 4 times a year. I'm not going to have my kit in time to got to the first one, and I can't go to the second due to work. I'm eyeing up Empire 3 as my first foray into the world (I put holidays in for it). I'm going to join the nation of Dawn. I really like the Arthurian aesthetic of Dawn. Expect to see a few logs on my costume progress.
5. To do a few battle reports. I might play a few games of Warhammer Quest or Dungeon Saga against my self.
Hobby Resolutions for 2018.
1. To finish 4 Batman buildings. I have a lot of painted Batman minis, but the terrain is lacking. Need to fix this.
2. Rebase 3 Skaven units for Kings of War. I want my Rats to take to the field again.
3. Acquire a folding gaming table. My dining table is too small.
So these are my hobby resolutions for this year. What are yours?

Malifaux - Salvage and Logistics
First of all Happy New Year. I hope you all had a good festive period.
I love Clive Barker's Hellraiser mythos. I love the films, I love the books but most of all I love the Cenobytes. That's why when I saw the Salvage and Logistics crew for Malifaux I knew I had to have one. I've tried to paint them up in a Hellraiser style. I tried to get them finished for A Wyrd Place's December painting challenge, but unfortunately life got in the way.

Next time my Christmas hobby haul and my hobby resolutions for 2018

Myphitic Blight-Hauler Unboxing
So three of these came in the post yesterday.
So lets look in the box
You get one sprue and the base
Here it is built
It's so cute
It went together pretty easily. I glued mine although you don't have to, they're snap fit. There's next to no possibility in it, although with a little work they could be altered.
They're also pretty big.
See
Now to build the other two. But in the meantime I'll wish you all a Merry Christmas (or whichever holiday you hold dear), and I'll be back hopefully in a few days with a painted Malifaux crew.

Bane Dark Knight Rises
I painted this guy up as a secret Santa present for one of my workmates. The lady whom I got has a massive crush on Tom Hardy, so Bane is a logical choice. Note that I wont be sharing this blog to my Facebook until after we've done the secret Santa exchange.
I've tried to keep him quite muted to reflect his grim mercenary persona.
